If you're writing a diary or daily journal but also thinking of someday
being published as a successful writer, let Mark help you discover
more about
your writing then you ever expected.

Who is this course for?

This is a course for journal keepers who are writing for themselves first, and publication second.  When we dig deeper than our day-to-day journaling, we discover an untold story that often surprises us and helps us grow in unexpected directions.

If you are a journal writer, seeker, lover of words and exploration, and catharsis through authentic self-exploration, this course is for you.  It will help you connect the dots of your life by discovering the story inside the situation of your everyday life.

Each of us has a secret life.  Underneath the persona we show the world, and the story we tell ourselves about ourselves, there’s a secret narrative we may not be aware of. When we discover this untold story, penetrating below our everyday life myth, we discover answers to questions that have eluded us and a powerful authentic voice we didn’t know we had.

In this Course You Will Learn How To:
  • Tell the whole truth
  • Open your mind and heart to yourself and others
  • Deepen the relationship to your own voice
  • Discover the curvatures of your own story, the questions that drive you, and where you want to travel.
This six-week online course offers students a safe, supportive, wise context in which to discover their own secret stories in writing. Participants are taken on an enlightening, step-by-step journey into their own interior using targeted writing exercises, suggested reading, and instructor guidance. Using writing as a path of self-realization, Your Untold Story has helped thousands to tell the deepest truths about themselves, often for the first time, only to discover aspirations, strength, creativity, and power, they did not know they had.
"Mark Matousek's writing instruction is transformative. His classes will change the ways in which you examine your life, and how you think about yourself as a writer. He approaches your work with a deep sense of empathy, and his insight, imagination, and precise instruction will push your writing in incredible directions, both creatively and technically. Mark not only recognized that I had the makings of a book when I brought him my idea for Ten Ways to Change the World in Your Twenties, but his mentorship at every step of the process empowered me to bring the project to fruition. No matter what stage of the process you are at, time spent with Mark will yield extraordinary results."--Libuse Binder, author of Ten Ways to Change the World in Your Twenties
